New Town's first homes went up in 2005. We're Gorilla Roofing, a St. Charles County crew, and we'd like to be the one you call when your roof, siding or gutters need a look. The roof inspection is free. So is the straight answer.
A little history
The plan for New Town was drawn up in early 2003, and ground broke that October. The first families moved in during the spring of 2005, and the neighborhood has been growing ever since, out past the lakes to the Beach District and now Phase 11.
That means the homes closest to the Civic Green and the Town Hall are now more than twenty years old. Their original shingles, siding and gutters have been through twenty Missouri summers and twenty winters. Some of it is fine. Some of it is not. The only way to know is to look.
That's what the free inspection is for.
Find your house
Every home north of 370, colored by the year the county says it was built. Darker is older. Type your address or click your roof, and we'll tell you how old it is.

Roofing
Most of New Town's original roofs are architectural asphalt shingle. In Missouri weather that is a 20-to-25-year roof, and the oldest ones here are in that window now.
We come out, get on the roof, take photos, and show you what we see. If it is fine, we say so. If it is not, you get a plain answer about repair or replacement and what each costs.

Siding
New Town's early homes were built with pre-finished fiber-cement siding. A lot of it is reaching the age where caulk lets go, paint chalks, and the bottom courses start to swell. If your home was part of the siding class action, you already know the story.
We are a preferred James Hardie contractor. We repair what can be repaired, replace what cannot, and match the Shades of New Town palette so the Review Board signs off the first time.

Gutters
The trees around the lakes are finally big enough to fill a gutter. We clear them, flush the downspouts, check the pitch and the seams, and look at the fascia behind them while we are up there.
If a seamless replacement makes sense, we will tell you. If a clean-out is all you need, that is all you pay for.
The paperwork part
In New Town, every exterior change needs written approval from the General Assembly's Architectural Review Board before work starts. Even a like-for-like roof. We've done it before, so you don't have to learn it.

For the record
None of this is a reason to panic. It is a reason to have someone look, especially if nobody has been on your roof since 2024. Hail damage does not always show from the street.
March 14, 2024
Golf-ball to baseball hail along I-70 from Wentzville to St. Charles.
May 26, 2024

March 14, 2025
EF2 tornado from Chesterfield to West Alton, ending in the northeast corner of the county.
May 2025

Around the neighborhood
We're on the screens in the mail rooms and at the amphitheater, and in the NTx issue every month. Get your coffee at Marsala's, put in a day at HQ at the Commons, walk the bridge on the way home, and when you look up at the roofline, call us. We'll be there the same week.

Thanks very much to Matt, who came out in Dec. 2024, thoroughly assessed our problem (even popping into the attic to confirm what was going on), and helped us sort out a leak we'd been chasing for months. Honest, thoroug…

They were upfront from the start — told us we only needed a repair, not a full replacement. Saved us thousands. Most contractors would've pushed for the bigger job. Gorilla earned our trust and our business going forward…

From the first inspection to the final cleanup, the communication was outstanding. Our new roof looks incredible and the crew finished a day ahead of schedule. Couldn't be happier.

After the hailstorm last spring, Gorilla walked us through the entire insurance process. No pressure, no gimmicks. They handled the adjuster meeting, the paperwork, and the install. We just had to sign things.

More than a promise — it's our commitment to unmatched craftsmanship and total transparency. We stand by our work 100%, no exceptions.
Yes. The New Town General Assembly requires written approval before any exterior work starts, including like-for-like replacement. We handle the form, the photos and the color selection, and we wait for the letter before we schedule. The current form and policy are on the NTGA architectural page.
We get on the roof, photograph every slope, check flashing, vents, valleys and the attic side if you let us in, and walk you through the photos. It takes about 45 minutes. There is no charge and no obligation.
We clear the gutters and downspouts, flush them, check pitch and seams, and look at the fascia and drip edge behind them. You get photos and a short note on anything that needs attention.
Yes. We do it all the time in New Town. We flash and tie into the neighbor's roof properly, and we will coordinate with them if a shared section needs attention.
Our closest office is in St. Peters at 1000 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. We also have offices in Chesterfield, Ballwin and Moscow Mills.
Every job carries a ten-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's material warranty. If something we did fails, we fix it. Read the full guarantee.
